So, a friend of mine goes on his first date with his new girlfriend last night. He still doesn't own a car, so he takes his mom's Pontiac Torrent. Him and his girlfriend are all set to go to a steakhouse of some sort (probably Outback or something, I have no idea). Welp, that ends up being too crowded. So, they're driving around randomly. At a stop light, they proceed to make out. What happens? His foot slips off the brake and he rear ends the truck in front of him. REAL SMOOTH. Why he didn't throw it in park or wait a couple minutes, I don't know. So, that happens, his mom's car has a hole in the front, he's given a ticket and a court date so he can try to not get any points on his license. He probably won't even buy a car for himself now, since their insurance is probably going to be fucked.

After all of this, what does he treat his girlfriend to? KFC. Yep, KFC. Doesn't that sound like a great first date to you?

So, yeah, now I have three friends who have gotten into a car accident. Fun times.

Lol, its a high school relationship. My friend has gone through too many girlfriends for me to remember. I expect this relationship to be no different.

My buddy did this with my land cruiser in college. Rear ended a prius and did $900 worth of damage to its tailgate going less than 1 MPH. I still, to this day, make fun of him for it.

Lol. I actually got to drive it at one point. The thing is slower than my Taurus, which is pathetic. And the body roll is insane. Pretty practical, though.

'Twas. Yeah, it wasn't pretty. The 3.6 would be better, but that was only in the GXP. I have no idea how many Torrent GXPs were made; probably not too many.

That's what my parents wanted (I think) but they would've had to custom order one and they wanted a new car before we left for Florida the next month and it would've taken too long, so they "settled" with a mildly loaded XR. Which is basically a Redline without the body kit, slightly lowered suspension, and beautiful black leather seats.

Ah, gotcha. Still pretty sweet. Would've much rather had that than our family's Enclave. Was it comfortable? Hell yes. Absolutely terrible to drive, though. Blind spots for days. So freaking glad we didn't get another one.

My mom wanted an Outlook originally because 7 seats, but I'm damn glad we got a Vue. Not only is the interior probably better, but I'm sure it's infinitely better to drive. I seriously shouldn't have as much fun as I do driving a 4,000lb crossover.

I would have loved a Vue. I'll say the interior was pretty nice. But it was terrible to drive. I mentioned the blind spots. Plus, since ours was AWD, you had 288 HP lugging around nearly 5,000 lbs. Really, the only time I ever had fun with that car was on a sheet of ice.
